Chia seeds used to be only available in health food stores, but chances are you can now find chia at your local supermarket. You can find it in granola bars, cereals, yogurts, you can definitely find it in restaurants and cafes.

I add them also to my smoothies, juices and when I bake.

Good quality chia seeds are black or white in color ( they shouldn’t be brown ).

I am sure you’ve heard it before, chia seeds are often called “superfood”. These seeds provide a healthy dose of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. They also contain all nine essential amino acids.

Chia seeds don’t need to be ground before eating to get the nutritional benefits - eating them whole will have the same effects.

Store your chia seeds in a cool, dry place.

Ingredients :

2 Tbl chia seeds

1 Tbl peanut butter

2 tsp honey or another natural sweetener ( maple syrup , agave )

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup plant based milk ( or regular milk )

banana, chocolate chips, peanuts or other toppings

*Mix chia seeds with milk ,peanut butter ( I put a little milk at first to better incorporate peanut butter), honey and vanilla extract. Mix until peanut butter is well blended. Let stand for 10 min. Mix again. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or overnight, (consistency will be more like pudding, if you refrigerate it overnight).

Before serving spoon it into your favorite dish, and top it with bananas, chocolate chips and peanuts.

So good!!!
