Lunch on the beach in Malaga, Spain

This was truly the best trip I have taken. I was in Spain twice previously, but it was the first time I visited southern Spain, which is very different from the other parts of the country. Malaga was my last stop before returning to Madrid to fly back home.

What really stole my heart in Malaga was the incredible beauty of architecture, streets tiled with real marble and countless little restaurants and cafes.

Malaga is Pablo Picasso’s hometown and it was a great pleasure to visit the Picasso Museum. It was an incredible feeling to walk the same street as this great artist.

I have many, many great memories from Malaga, but food was definitely what left the biggest imprint. One of the best meals that I ever had was lunch on the beach of fresh, fire grilled sardines that was cooked right in front of us in a metal boat that had been cut in half and turned into a grill. I am a big sardines lover. The flavor, the fresh breeze and definitely the setting left a very unforgettable memory. It would be so cool to have a grill like this in my backyard.
